The James House was founded in 1989 and provides free services for children and adults affected by sexual or domestic violence, or stalking. They offer a 24 hour hotline, counseling, support groups, case management, shelter, financial assistance, a resource library, transitional services, and information and referrals. Financial assistance is on a case by case basis. They also have a full-time Spanish speaking advocate on staff.
The James House served 704 people from Hopewell, Prince George, and surrounding areas.
United Way of Hopewell-Prince George is proud to have The James House as one of our worthy participating agencies, and will continue to support their efforts to our community in our annual campaign.
