United Way of Hopewell-Prince George
SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY
The United Way of Hopewell-Prince George is committed to providing a workplace that is free from sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
Sexual harassment includes a wide range of behaviors, from the actual coercion of sexual relations to unwelcome offensive comments, jokes and innuendo and other sexually oriented statements and unwelcome emphasizing of sexual identity. Sexual harassment maybe indirect or even unintentional.
Sexual harassment is a violation of United Way policy, and both state and federal law prohibit it. An individual who believes he or she has been subjected to sexual harassment should report the incident to the President of the Board of Directors or Executive Director. The matter will be promptly investigated and, depending on the circumstances, appropriate action will be taken.
