United Way of Hopewell-Prince George
13th Annual Golf Fundraiser a big success!
October 21, 2022
Friday, October 21st, United Way of Hopewell-Prince George held a golf tournament at Brookwoods Golf Club in Quinton to raise money to supplement funding programs. After a chilly start, it was a beautiful day for golf and charitable fundraising. Campaign dollars have declined in recent years so this fundraiser is important to support services in our local community. Over $14,000 was raised after expenses in this effort.
The winning team was VFW Post 637 Auxiliary, represented by Butch Morris, Randy Morrow, Tom Coker, and Dave Clark. Hazen and Sawyer, represented by Dickie Thompson, Brad Etters, and Hunter Martin, took second place. The winner of the Putting contest was Dave Clark.
We would like to thank Brookwoods Golf Club for the accommodations and our volunteers, Robert Brobst, Charlotte, Zimmerman, Jim Speidel, Wanda Alley, Christian Volk, Lili Quintana, Katie Harlow, Wendy Riley, Natalie Sierra, Eric Barth, and Vickie Vance. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Most of all a big shout out to all of our Sponsors and In-Kind donors. You made this event a big success!
