United Way of Hopewell-Prince George
12th Annual Golf Fundraiser a big success!
Friday, October 15th United Way of Hopewell-Prince George held a golf tournament at Brookwoods Golf Club in Quinton to raise money to supplement funding to their partner agencies. It was a beautiful day for golf and charitable fundraising. Campaign dollars have declined in recent years so this fundraiser is important to the partner agencies providing services in our local community. Over $14,000 was raised after expenses in this effort.
The winning team was VFW Post 637 Auxiliary, represented by Butch Morris, Randy Morrow, Tom Coker, and Dave Clark. Evonik team members Mac Basinski, Rob Hutchinson, Brad Graves and John Stone took second place. The winner of the Putting contest was Vishal Jain, representing Love and Light 4 Kidz.
We would like to thank Brookwoods Golf Club for the accommodations and our volunteers, Charlotte Zimmerman, Rob Brobst, Christian Volk, Wanda Alley, and Lili, Wendy, Bethany, Vania and Katie from The James House. We couldn’t have done it without you!
